Bu hamam Azərbaycan Respublikası Nazirlər Kabinetinin 2001-ci il 2 avqust tarixli, 132 nömrəli qərarı ilə yerli əhəmiyyətli daşınmaz tarix və mədəniyyət abidələrinin siyahısına daxil edilmişdir ( inventar nömrəsi 4951).
Ötən ilin avqustunda işbazlar hamamı hərrəca çıxarmaq üçün bütün qanunsuzluqlara getmişlər. Hamamın bir gündə 2 dəfə yandırılmasına belə nail olmuşlar. Yenə də sağ olsun yerli sakinlər, onların köməyi ilə yanğın söndürülmüş abidəyə ciddi ziyan dəyməmişdir.
